Following the tracks of the friends of the Bystrinsky Nature Park
One more activity, organized by the Educational- methodical center “Our Sphere” of the Association of protected areas with the support of the UNDP/GEF project, is over. The mission of the Educational-methodical center “Our Sphere” is to provide the public support of the specially protected areas of Kamchatka. In June 2009 the Educational -methodical center took the lead and organized the field introductory tour to the Bystrinsky Nature Park for the representatives of tourists companies and personnel of the Specially protected areas of Kamchatka province.
The primary objectives of the tour, which the organizers wanted to achieve, was to encourage cooperation of the park with tourist companies, as well as to give a chance to the representatives of other Kamchatka protected areas to get acquainted with the experience of development of ecotourism by the Bystrinsky Nature Park personnel.
The trip to remote “Kamchatka Switzerland” began with introductions and collection of the participants’ expectations.
During the conversation it turned out that we do not know much about the Bystrinsky Park, and this immediately added timeliness to the event.
Among the participants of the tour there were people who had been in Esso more than once and those who were going there for the first time. All of them wanted to see the infrastructure of Esso and Anavgai, personnel, visit-center and the routes of Bystrinsky Park, customs and culture of native people.
In about nine hours the information stand informed that we have arrived to the Bystrinsky land.
